Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talker Radio.

Things are, ladies and gentlemen, as I said, they would be.

You may remember last year when all around

us was doom and gloom when there seems to be no way out of the Brexit stalemate, when it appeared

that all hope was lost. Remember that feeling of frustration, of hopelessness, of a complete

and utter lack of control over events, those endless days in the home of common sense, in the tent

of common sense, on College Green in Westminster,

well you might also remember that I was one of the lone voices at the time

who said it would all come out in the wash, that it would be all right in the end,

and no matter what Boris Johnson would get Brexit done.

And that, my friends, is precisely what happened.

We left the European Union on January 31st, 2020.

Now, I also said that everyone obsessing about

the detail in the agreement shouldn't bother. And so that has proved as well. Today, we

learned the Prime Minister actually thinks the Brexit deal that was done never really made any

sense in the first place, and now he wants to rewrite it, which has caused all sorts of panic in

the ranks. seemingly some Tories are saying,

we mustn't water it down. Other people are saying, well, what difference does it make if we leave
