I've also had situations that could have been an awesome friends with benefits that then I tried to push to become something else either because I felt guilt about having a friends with benefits type relationship and so well if I like this person I better try to pursue a relationship with them because somehow I'll feel less shameful

or guilty about that and ones that I've you know then it I screwed it up and it didn't work out and looking back I'm like man I could

have been an awesome friends with benefits relationship if I hadn't tried to make it that

so it's almost like on either side, right?

Don't artificially limit the closeness,

but also don't feel like you need to force

some kind of other connection to be part of this

just because of social pressures.
