I am pleased and delighted to begin a new series with some people that I have just become acquainted with and have read a book written by one of these individuals, but I guess it's kind of a labor of love of both of these individuals. I would like to introduce

you all to Steve and Ginger Pins. How are both of you today? We're doing great. Yeah, we're great.

Thanks for having us. Well, I am really grateful to have met you. I was connected with you shortly

after the event of the resignation that Nathan and I just went through just a couple of months ago.

We had hundreds and hundreds of letters and communications from people, and it was so touching because I would say 99.9% of them were just love and support and gratitude.

And this was one of the connections that I made. I was made aware of this book

written by Stephen A. Hits. The book is called Igniting the Holy Flame. And then I want to read

the subtitle as well because I think that's a really relevant piece of what this book is about

and also what I want us to be talking about in the next several

episodes. The subtitle is building communities of love from the ashes of negative religious

culture. So we are going to be spending today and the next three episodes, not only just

talking about this book that Stephen wrote, but we're going to start today by learning

a little bit more about you, Stephen, and you Ginger.
