I don't usually say this about the seasonal flu or make a big deal, but this year is different.

There's a new, stronger variant of the flu called the H3N2 subclade K. Why is this important?

Because it's leaving people wiped out for weeks and catching

people's immune system off guard. I personally have had it myself. I'm going to share with you

what I went through and I'm seeing it in my practice. And the pattern is clear. Much stronger

symptoms, double the length of recovery, and more people

feeling wiped out weeks later. I want to break down right now what's happening with this new

variation of the flu, why so many people are getting caught off guard. And I also want to explain

why those who got the flu shot are not fully protected. Plus, we're going to go

over, of course, what you can do to truly protect yourself, boost your immune system, and recover

from this virus stronger if you do get it. Let's get right into it. So what exactly is this new flu-based variant?

The H3N2, which has been around for decades, honestly, it's this new what's called subclade

K. It's simply a different strain, a different variation of influenza A, which is the flu.

So if you hear about that on the media, all that that simply

means is that this is a different variation of the flu. Why does that matter? Well, when they were

giving flu shots out this year, unfortunately, they picked the wrong strain. So the flu shot at best on

the CDC's website says it's about 32% effective for adults. Again, take that with a grain of salt.
