I was pleasantly surprised Thursday by the city of St. Wayne, Indiana, and the people who came out to the show.

Ballroom at the end of this mini. The Douglas Movies Challenge continues. Movies number 92 and

93 of the 365 movies and 365 days were two films that, under normal circumstances,

I might not see on the big screen. But front row, Devin, raved about the age of Adeline,

and somebody on Twitter told me that they really enjoyed the longest

ride, so I got suckered in. I checked out both of them at the movie Co-Cinemas while I was in

Rosemont, Illinois. Adeline had the kinds of twists we've come to expect from a Nicholas Sparks adaptation,

but it isn't one. And the Nicholas Sparks adaptation, the longest ride, barely has any of the twists

we expect from him at all. So of the two, Adeline is the most interesting, with a good supporting turn by Harrison Ford and a

quite radiant Blake lively in the title role of a woman who is immortal for reasons a narrator explains,

but just sound like a bunch of hooey to me. Sorry, Devin.

So this is like a vampire movie with no bite. Yeah, I said it. At two hours and nine minutes,

at least the longest ride warned us by putting long in the title. It's right in there. That's going to be a long ride. The girl in

this one is cute too, but you can see her. Britt Robertson, I think, is her name in Tomorrowland,

which directed by Brad Bird and co-starring George Clooney. How could that go wrong?
