Excited about tonight's Doug Loves movies taping at the Old Town Playhouse in T.C.

If I suffer from a coughing fit, I've booked one guest in particular tonight who will have

no trouble filling the silence with his voice.

in Traverse City at the film festival, and so far, so good. The opening night film,

movie number 139 of the DLM Challenge, was the end of the tour directed by past and future Douglas movies guest James Ponsult.

He's behind two other films that Doug Diggs smashed and the spectacular now,

so I had high hopes going into this one, and I was not disappointed.

It's about the late, revered author David Foster Wallace, whose work I have admittedly not read,

being interviewed by Rolling Stone Rider towards the end of his book tour promoting the thousand-plus page infinite jest.

Anyway, it's basically a two-hander, for the most part, with Jesse Eisenberg doing his usual

solid work as the less successful but still smart magazine writer, and Jason Siegel is something

of a revelation as Wallace. There's Oscar talk already.
