Summary

Tom Papa was afraid to follow his dream (like everyone else). But he put it to the test. He went up on stage, got laughs, and kept going. Now he has 5 different income streams (all because he took that first leap). He's got a new TV show coming up, a podcast, a radio show, live events and comedy tours, plus he also just wrote a book, "Your Dad Stole My Rake: And Other Family Dilemmas." These opportunities didn't come to him over night. He's been doing comedy for 25 years. He put his dream to the test. It was the scariest thing he'd ever done. I wanted him to share his story. 0:54.0	There's a lot of hardship. You know, you're making five dollars a night

1:00.0	There's a lot of things that you would perceive as negatives.
1:03.0	But you really don't think about that. I didn't.
1:06.0	You'll appreciate this. I was talking to Paul Reiser, who of course was in Red Oaks with a lot of you.
1:12.0	And he says when you're starting out, there's almost like this womb around you
1:18.0	to protect you from the fact that you might suck those first few years.
1:22.0	But you don't quite realize it until you're good.
