| 0:00.0 | What is going on, everyone. Welcome to another episode of the Fit, Healthy, and Most of All Happy Podcast. I'm your coach and host Josh here with his co-host and co-coach, KG, and I'm in the house. Coming at you with a killer episode today. This episode is going to be so good. The reason we know it's going to be so good is because we've already filmed at once. I made the air I thought was filming i had to move some dogs out of the way um and you know what we're here again but me and call we're excited we're like you know what this is our opportunity to make it even better we're doing this first thing in the morning we woke up drove right to get a huge coffee a massive coffee sitting outside with the sun rising like it's just a beautiful day and we know it's |
| 0:38.7 | an amazing opportunity to kill this podcast and you know that's just the thought i've had just the |
| 0:43.0 | concept of just being you know present and being in light into that moment and just you know dealing |
| 0:48.8 | with things as they come right like if we just sat there we said this so annoying we filmed the 40 minute |
| 0:53.8 | episode was a great episode and it was gone dwelled on it you know let it just sour our next one we were tempted to film it right away um but we knew the quality wouldn't be there so you know we waited and we got it done and to me that's just a great reminder that things happen you know once again you got to take curves you got to take detours and that's absolutely all right because you know and even as cow always says when one door closed another one |
| 1:14.4 | opens a new opportunity arises so we are super super fired up we're going to jump right into the |
| 1:19.4 | quotes what do you got coach kg so my quote for this week is a simple one so i asked |
| 1:23.7 | instagram you know just uh once again follow us on instagram at colossus fit c, C-O-L-O-S-F-I-T, |
| 1:29.6 | and, you know, just for a bunch of quotes. And we got a ton of them. But the one that really stood out to me was from Steve. So shout out to you. Thanks for sharing this one. On good days, workout, on bad days, work out harder. and this one really inspired me because it's something I can really relate to, but I think it's also very applicable to like kind of the theme of this podcast. And, you know, later on we're going to dive into a question about like, you know, stress eating. What do you do instead of grabbing food? So stay tuned for that at the end of the episode. But I just think it's so, so, so applicable because I find a lot of times when I have conversations with, you know, clients who are going through stressors or traumas and specific things. And even myself, if I ever feel like I'm getting stressed, like, it's very hard to kind of get yourself in the door of like working out or like kind of just like, sorry, through the door. Or actually go for that walk or go for that run. But man, like, it just feels so incredible. And those are the times that I feel like |
| 2:18.1 | you need it the most. But I find those are the times that most people will say, oh, I'm not going to, you know, find the time to do it. And it doesn't have to be a massive crazy workout. But just trust me, like if you can find yourself, you know, just get yourself into the gym, you know, crush those weights, the weights will always be there. You're going to feel significantly better, even though |
| 2:34.9 | you might be a bit demotivated, you might be down, you might be, you know crush those weights the weights will always be there you're going to feel significantly better even though you might be a bit demotivated you might be down you might be you know just struggling a little bit trust me it's going to feel so much better once you do it and those are the days you should be working out harder in my opinion yeah and i'm a huge fan of kyle's quote because i think everyone needs to hear this you know that there will be bad. There will be days you don't want to do it. |
| 2:51.2 | There will be days you're going to be demotivated. It's going to happen to all of us. It's not fun, but I always like to tell people whether that's a chapter of life, you know, whether we've had tragedy, whether there's been heartbreak, no matter what it is, whether it's just inconvenience, a snowstorm like I know there's a million things and there always will be but I |
| 3:08.1 | always like to say, |
| 3:08.9 | okay, I have this challenge in front of me. You know, I got this big elephant. I got to navigate around. But when I do, I'm going to feel that much better. I'm going to feel that much more in control. And I'm going to prepare myself and be in a better position for when things are easy again, right? like it's never easy with challenges even for us you know podcasting um being temporarily you know in |
| 3:27.6 | florida position for when things are easy again, right? Like, it's never easy with challenges, even for us, you know, podcasting, being temporarily, you know, in Florida for just over a month, right? Like, it's different. It's a different situation. The dogs are running around. Like, it's harder to have that dedicated space we normally do, that normal routine. But this was a chance for us to step up to make the most of the opportunity and really succeed |
| 3:41.6 | through it and you know just time and time again i've realized just how important that is and |
| 3:45.5 | and that brings me into my quote which is you don't have to be perfect to inspire other people |
| 3:50.0 | let them be inspired by the way you deal with your struggles your heartaches and your imperfections |
| 3:54.7 | and the reason i love this quote is because everyone always says, oh, |
| 3:57.9 | you know, I can't be perfect like you. I'm not as motivated as you. I don't have the same willpower, the same strength, whatever it may be. You know, I get that all the time, right? I'm not a someone who does fitness for a living. Like there's no way I can be this perfect and log my food every day and go to the gym consistently during busy with work. |
| 4:15.3 | You know, and what I like to say is it's not about being perfect. |
| 4:18.0 | It's about being that person that shows up and always gets up when you fall down, right? Like that can be so motivating to others. That can be motivating to yourself. Where you go wrong and if you're listening to this and you think you need to be perfect, you have a high potential potentially failing failing if you don't kind of check that need for perfection, because perfection is unobtainable. We all make mistakes. Me and Kyle make mistakes. We aim to make less mistakes. But it's going to happen. You're going to fall down. Things are going to happen. You're going to have struggles. You're going to have periods of success. It's just really important that you don't expect it, right maybe works crazy and normally you crush a gym for five uh five times a week 75 minutes a week works insane you can only do three that week like does that make you go oh you know maybe i'll stop working out all together during um that time or do you say hey i'm just going to make the most of those three I'm going to keep logging my food because that only takes a few minutes. |
