Jessie is a painter and designer and has an incredible connection with her audience through social media.

I wanted to have Jessie on the show because here's a person, she's an American artist, living and working in France.

And her creative journey maps onto the hero's journey so perfectly.

And as long time listeners know, I'm obsessed.

I'm one of those nerdy Joseph Campbell kind of people because discovering the hero's journey was the discovery of the growth mindset in my creative practice.

It is what taught me to not run from obstacles but see them as the opportunity for an actual creative solution.

If there's no obstacle, the creativity's been had, right?

We've been talking a lot about that on this show this year.
