A lot of our issues as adults are not overnight, but we have to keep pursuing those until we get to that point of comfort and peace.

right before I had my son Maverick, so that's why you might hear me talk about being pregnant

or just being a soon-to-be mom. This episode is weighty, but beautiful in a redemptive way,

and I had the absolute honor of interviewing Judy Henderson. This is a story that everyone needs to hear. So without further ado,

let's hop in. Welcome to the podcast, Judy. How are you? Thank you. I am fine. Brittany, how are you? I'm so good.

I have heard a little bit about your story. I've actually just knowing that we were leading up to this

interview, I listened to a couple podcasts that you've been on, and I just cannot wait to hear your story. And I know we're

kind of in a time crunch today. So if you would love by starting off this interview, which is

telling us a little bit about yourself and maybe giving us like your five to ten minute

testimony of everything and about this book that you wrote when the

life finds us. I would love to, Brittany. Wow, it's hard to put 36 years into even an hour,

you know, but I'll tell you what, this has been a journey that evidently I was meant to go on, or God wouldn't have allowed it.

I believe that.

I believe he gives us a pass to take, and we have to learn what we can from those paths.

And I was able to find my purpose in going to prison for 36 years, as hard as that was.

But my co-defendant committed the crime and he was acquitted, and then I'm the one that went to prison.

And it took me 36 years to gain my freedom.

But I'll tell you, what kept me going was my family. I have two children

and a daughter, and they were, I couldn't give up. I had to keep biting. I would not give up and not be

able to see my children or come home to them or my family.

So this has been a long journey of fighting for my freedom because none of the courts would
