Hi, this is Alonzo Bowden and welcome to Who's Paying Attention Episode 36. I know it has been sporadic

as far as me recording shows and getting them out there. Sorry about that. As a lot of you who follow

me know I was doing my jazz cruisers. It's how I spend every January. They are great gigs, but

you get a little out of touch being at sea

and, um, you know, internet difficulties and blah, blah, blah. Hey, I'm not complaining. I was on a

cruise ship for three weeks. It was fun. I loved it. I'm back. Let's go. Uh, I guess I guess I'm going

with guns.

Guns are still in the news.

We're still dealing with shootings and hostages.

And I don't really know anymore what's going to happen with this.

Obviously, nothing.

Well, I shouldn't say obviously, as expected.

The Democrats are going weak on this one.

They had a chance back in December to just go balls out on banning assault weapons and who knows what else.

But instead, they decided to do a a few studies do a little talking check

with this check with that and now they're proposing some watered down uh background checks and they're

not going to ban assault weapons because congress is afraid of the nora and i just don't understand

the fear of the NRA.

It's a 4 million person organization.

We, in a nation of 300 million.

Just don't you wish a congressman would have the balls to stand up to him?
