And the reason is because this is part two on the Revolutionary War here in New York. Part one last week was of course on the invasion of the British into New York and George Washington the Continental Army scooting out.

And part two today, we're going to talk about what it was like to live in British New York because the city was occupied for these seven years.

What was it like to be an American or British loyalist who happened to be living inside the city of New York under British rule?

And you may think it might just be the same with different people who talk funnier, but no.

The fact that the city itself, the whole culture changed in many ways is the physical makeup changed and a lot of things were going on.

And the city of New York before the war was not the same city that was during the war and it wasn't the same city that would be after the war.
