0:23.9

our research communication officer here at Sigma Nutrition, Mr. Alan Flanagan. Alan, how are you?

0:29.5

I'm good. I am, as it is the 4th of November, like most people, glued to, due to updates on a certain election.

0:39.2

Why, is there anything in current affairs at the moment? I think there was any news going on.

0:43.6

What's happening in democracy? Oh, just the complete capitulation of democratic standards.

0:50.9

Yeah, it's going to be a fun end to this year, I feel. Yeah, it's interesting. I was reading a review of a book on a couple of books on the end of the Roman Empire. And we typically, in the kind of gen pop sense, our picture of the end of Rome is that it was, you know, there's hordes of barbarians that over around the city and that's kind of a historical inaccuracy what more really happened was kind of internal strife and an internal decay of kind of institutions and structures

today's topic and focus that we're going to focus on relates to energy balance

2:06.5

and particularly, I suppose, a focus on how that relates to body mass

2:11.5

and some of the conversations that end up centering around that.

2:16.6

Today's topic in focus.

2:19.0

For people listening, if you're unaware, for some extra context this week's Sigma statement

2:25.4

that was published on the website, you can go and read, relates to this topic.

2:30.1

And there's a lot of in-depth discussion of some of these ideas that I think hopefully you'll find interesting.

2:36.8

So I advise you to check that out and it'll be linked up at the show notes of this episode as well as just going to sigma nutrition.com.
