I'm going to be starting today a series entitled The End of Faith Sessions.

This is inspired by two things. The first is that I've always heard that the audiobook edition

of The End of Faith is deeply unsatisfying. I actually haven't heard it myself, but rumor has it

that the voice actor who read it didn't do a good job, and in places even seem to disagree with me,

and give a deliberately-infillicitous reading of the text. And it's also the case that the most

controversial things I've ever written are in that book and continue to come back to Haunt Me.

So I'm going to read much of the book, most of the book, perhaps all of the book in a series of

podcasts, and then elaborate on what I wrote there, issuing any caveats as needed. And I made

in fact not read certain sections of it, but this is me jail-breaking the audio for better or worse.

Chapter 1 Reason in Exile

The young man boards the bus as it leaves the terminal. He wears an overcoat. Beneath his overcoat,

he is wearing a bomb. His pockets are filled with nails, ball bearings, and rat poison.
