I'm thinking about something I'm going to share, and that is a deeper level of mindfulness.

I got to thinking about mindfulness, of course, is really a tool if we look at it.

Hmm, the big picture.

But if we look a little deeper, there's another layer to it that I find really interesting. So let me break this down for you.

So, of course, mindfulness is a form of self-monitoring.

Is using your awareness to pay attention to what you're doing in the present moment.

What are you saying? What choices are you making? How are you responding?

How are you paying attention to your emotions in what's arising inside of you?

And then how does all of that collaborate with what you're experiencing

around you? And having your point of awareness as clear and as present as possible,

along with having a calm body allows you to make the different decisions than you

would if you weren't paying attention.

It allows you to have a bit more ownership and let's say creative control over who you're being in each moment you're kind of producing

you're like a producer of your own life on the on the movie of your life you get to be an executive

producer and but being serious it helps you not be reactive.

It helps you not just keep repeating the same behavior patterns again and again.

It helps you not be defensive or aggressive.

It helps you make meaningful decisions and ultimately be more of who you want to be

and also get you closer to experiencing reality

on terms that are much more fruitful and open and transparent than living in a kind of reverberating echo chamber of your own,

the tension that you experienced in the past that just keeps emerging again and again and again in the present.
