Hey everyone. Welcome to MCU Fan Show episode 349. My name is Sean Gerber here to break down the news of Avengers Doomsday and Avengers Secret Wars, each being delayed

by about seven or closer to seven and a half months. Yes, the news came down the day before

this recording that Disney slash Marvel have punted each of those films. Avengers Doomsday is moving from May 1st,

2026 to December 18th, 20206, meaning we are no longer less than a year from seeing that film.

Avengers Secret Wars has also been delayed from May 7,, 2027 to December 17th, 2027.

So to recap, Avengers Doomsday, December 18th, 2026, Avengers Secret Wars,

December 17th, 202027.

And I think there's quite a bit to unpack here,

and I've seen both sides of the spectrum in terms of feelings on this from, well, myself

internally, but also from fellow fans.

And many of you have shared with me your reactions as well.

And I've seen some negative reactions, which would be expected for delays to movies that are so

anticipated as these Avengers movies always are. But then also a lot of positivity about this

news. A lot of you are happy about this news. And I'd say I'm fairly happy as well. That doesn't

mean there aren't any downsides. but let's just go ahead and get through

that. Let's talk about what bums us out about this news, and then we'll move on to what's good

about it, and really why I think Marvel is doing this, and I think that really relates to what's good

about this news. But let's get the bad news out of the way first, or the bad parts of

this news out of the way first. It's the wait, right? It's the additional seven and a half months

or so that we have to wait for each of these movies. And that is, generally speaking, a bit of a bummer.

looking at that, too, in terms of the weight, is we can look at it and say, we've been through so
