I'm back today with Dr. Preston Sprinkle to continue a conversation that I started last episode, and I hope it's going to help you better understand gender dysphoria and give you some

guidance as a Christian on how you can walk with truth and grace alongside a friend, a family

member, or even your neighbor down the street who might be wrestling with gender or living

as a trans person.

Today I'm going to get really practical with Preston and ask him some questions about what

is the Bible say about transitioning genders?

Do we know about the long-term effects of gender reassignment surgery?

As a Christian, when somebody asks you to use pronouns like they and them, do you honor those

kinds of requests?

And why are there so many young people who seem all of a sudden

to be questioning gender? Is this a real issue or is it just a dangerous trend? Now, friend,

if you are the parent of a child who right now is wrestling with gender, I just want to say I can't

even imagine the burden that you're carrying. I hope this conversation helps you know

that you're not alone, that I'm learning right alongside you, and there are other believers

who want to journey with you as you navigate some very difficult decisions and conversations.

Let me introduce our guest. Preston is the president of the Center for Faith, Sexuality,

and Gender. And most of what he shared last week and what you'll hear today comes from a new book

that Preston has just released called Embodied, Transgender Identities, the Church, and what the Bible has to say.

Preston has a really unique ability to live in the tension of upholding biblical truth

while also sharing the love of Jesus. He has a big heart for the marginalized in our society.
