But if we don't have the courage to tell the truth to our families, if we don't want to disrupt our holidays or disrupt the routine of those things that we prefer, it's illegitimate for us to ask other leaders to make

sacrifices to stand for those truths. If we're cowards in the confines

closest to us, it's very inconsistent to ask other people to have

courage with regard to the faith that you hold. So let's in humility

begin to come back to the Lord and say, Lord, forgive us. We're in a new season and we have a great need for the

foundation that God will bring to our lives.

Before I start the lesson, I want to just give you a point of encouragement, if I may, an invitation perhaps.

If you're not purposefully and intentionally

using the freedoms and liberties that we have to share your faith I want to invite you

into that arena beyond church services I want to encourage you to begin to lead with

your faith. Certainly at the kitchen table to have those conversations. If you go

to the soccer fields or whatever athletic endeavors your children may be engaged

if you have a lot of watching time and a lot of waiting time while you're sitting with those

other parents with whom you share some life intersection points, talk to them about your faith.

There are many ways you can open those conversations with an answer to prayer that you've had

or a presentation you saw at church over the weekend or a common friend you may have and

you worship's together or but use your words to engage in a conversation about your faith.
