design for sexuality.

Well, you may have heard me say in the past that every sexual issue is at heart, a spiritual

issue, and I really believe that. If you think about it, our views

of sexuality have shifted over the past few decades, largely because our beliefs about God

have shifted over the past few decades. And this is not only true within the larger culture,

it's also true within the church. You know, throughout history, God's people have been tempted to blend popular trends with

their worship of the true God.

And today is no different.

In order to grapple with tough questions about sexuality, we first have to look at the underlying

foundation of our beliefs about God, about his authority, about sin and redemption.

And that's why I'm so excited about today's conversation with author and podcaster,

Elisa Childers.

I actually first heard about Elisa from a few of you Java with Julie listeners who recommended

Elisa is a former recording artist and a member of the teen pop rock band Zoe Girl,

but even after growing up in a Christian home and spending hundreds of hours on stage

singing about Jesus, Elisa hit a time of questioning in her faith around her mid-30s.
