Welcome to another episode of the fit, healthy, and most of all, happy podcast. Oh no. I'm your coach and host, Josh, you're with? His co-host and co-coach KG and I'm on the mic. I didn't like that too much, but we're going to keep it because we got a killer episode. We got 10 lifestyle changes that are not only going to make you fitier. They're going to make you healthier. Fidier. And they're going to make you happier for 2020. So we just put our heads together. These are 10, like, really unique ones. They're all very, very different, you know, and you're really going to pull some from and some you might already do. Some might be completely new to you. but this episode is to be a killer it's going to be a rapid fire type of one you know we just throw these 10 out and you know hopefully get a lot of value from it so i hope you're fired up i hope you're ready to learn and we're just going to jump right into it so tip number one is to just drop one vice so if you can get rid of one vice in this new year, this is pretty

0:55.1

typical and this is typically what people will do as a resolution. You know, you're going to get yourself in such a better place. But, you know, analyze your life, do a little reflection. You know, it's really easy. Like when you look at friends, you're like, oh, if only they didn't do this, they'd be that much better off.

1:08.2

You know, it's really easy to do with other people.

1:10.5

But look at yourself that same way.

1:12.2

Say, what's one thing I'm doing that's really holding me back, that's hurting me, that's hindering me, that isn't causing me to grow and start to challenge that. And some examples could be, are you a smoker? Are you over consuming alcohol? Are you over consuming soda in the past? me in color like ooh maybe we use diet beverages too much as a bridge um and we always just need

1:31.4

something. consuming alcohol. Are you over consuming soda in the past? Me and Colorado, like, ooh,

1:27.6

maybe we used diet beverages too much as a bridge and we always just need something. So, you know,

1:32.2

we'd really try to challenge that. Now I've really been limiting it. You know, it could be anything

1:36.3

that you're overdoing in a non-healthy way, even poor sleep habits or prioritizing Netflix

1:42.3

over your sleep quality or, you know, having low

1:45.3

quality friends that are bringing you down. But look for one area in your life that you can

1:49.1

greatly challenge, but look for that one area in life that is actually going to give you the

1:52.9

most results if you do change it. So don't just do an easy thing. Find something. Be honest with yourself,

1:58.3

have that self-reflection and doing this is going to be such a game changer for you to have your best year ever in 2022 yeah and notice that josh said drop one vice let's start with one and similar to what he said you know the one that will give you the best ROI return on investment the one that will have the biggest impact on you the one that will change your life the most and then go from there i think where a lot of people go wrong is they'll brainstorm a ton. Obviously, we're our biggest critics for ourselves, right? So you're going to brainstorm and realize there's 10 things that we could change. Every single one of us will notice that. But pick one thing, dedicate time, create an action plan for that, whether it's like telling people about it, whether it's like, you know, getting rid of it from your house, you know, even a lot of people in negativity. That could be one thing. You know, I'm going to get rid of all my negativity. I'm going to try to focus on being more positive. That could be a huge vice. I think that's one thing that I'm going to focus on, even though I'm positive, I can always make those changes. But that was great. That's going to bring me into number two, which is just allocating one hour of creative work a week, right? We have 168 hours in the week.

2:52.4

One hour of creative work a week, right? We have 168 hours in the week. One hour of creativity will barely make a dent in your week at all. But even myself, I've kind of been reflecting and trying to figure out what it is that's missing in my life. And I feel like I have a lot of things like figured out in terms of like just an impact on my business and just good relationships and like good level of fitness. but I like there's just something that's missing i know josh went to an art school and i know he likes to draw um i know like and i just i have some other friends who love to play the guitar as well and it's just i think that's one thing that i'm personally missing so like i just think that there is a part of our brain that does like to be creative and we don't really get to showcase that. So I personally think that it'll just make you an overall well-rounded and like happier person. So that's going to be one of my focuses. And I'm not sure what it is yet that I'm going to be doing. But definitely be on the lookout for that. But that's something I'm super excited for myself. Yeah. And I really encourage everyone. You know, if you want a book to really inspire you for creativity, check out of the book, Creative Calling. I forget who it's by, but it's a very, like, minimalist cover. And it's really cool. It's from, you know, someone who's actually very successful. He's had a bunch of different businesses. But I thought it was really cool. They just devoted a whole book to creativity. And, you know, there's so many aspects of creativity, like even to a point,

3:59.1

like having a podcast, it could be drawing something, it could be gardening, it could be, you know,

4:04.0

just challenging that side of your life. Maybe you're a musically gifted person, you know, like

4:08.0

find a way to really exercise that muscle because it's one that gets very overlooked. But it's just,

4:13.4

it's a really fun one. And if you can implement into your life you know once again if you want to be you know you're someone who just wants more this is something that just it feels so good and creativity is just such a fun thing even in the past you know me and Kyle editing YouTube videos we'd have so much fun with it it would be such a challenge and it's just so great you know piecing something together from just a bunch of crazy things and having this finished product. And there's so many ways you can take it. So don't just think of it in conventional lines of painting and drawing and things like that. But, you know, whether you want to act, whether you want to sing at a karaoke bar, you know, find that time to be creative. And I guess it's back to me then. Number three is just park further away.

4:48.6

This is an easy one, especially, you know, if you listen to our episode on Monday,

4:52.6

we talked about steps and how a lot of people are struggling to get them.
