My name is Douglas Wilson and I am grateful you decided to join us. So I wanted to talk a little bit,

spend a few minutes talking about abortion and the Republicans. Abortion and the Republicans

because things in one, considered from one angle,

things are pretty grim there,

and considered from another angle,

there's good reason for hope.

Let's start with the fact that it's pretty clear that Donald Trump is not pro-life.

He's not pro-life. And I don't think it's even very clear that he understands what it means to be pro-life

because anybody who allows for exceptions like this like like principled exceptions, the kind of politician who says I'm

pro-life but I think there should be exceptions in case of rape and incest for example.

What he's doing by giving you those exceptions

is telling you that he doesn't understand

the basis for pro-life activism at all.

In the case of rape, you have three people. You have the father, the mother, and the child. And out of those three people, one of them is guilty and two are innocent. And if you abort a child because of rape what

you're doing is picking one of the innocent parties and executing the

innocent party for the crime of the guilty party.

And if it's incest, it's one step further.

If it's incest, you've got the father and the mother and the child,

and the sin or the crime of the father and the mother

is then dealt with by executing the one innocent party
