So let's talk a little bit about conspiracy thinking and attempted assassinations.

Conspiracy thinking and attempted assassinations.

Now, there's one thing that should be asserted like right out of the starting blocks and that is if you are

3,000 miles away from an attempted assassination.

And all you get are news reports or things in your news feed or

speculations in your Twitter feed and so on.

You have to say, you have to acknowledge,

there is a lot of chaff that is generated alongside the wheat.

A lot of people are just, they're crazy,

they're crazy thoughts, crazy specular.

There are people who are given over to conspiracy thinking, and so consequently you have to be aware of them.

At the same time, you also need to be aware of the fact that thanks to social media, thanks to things like Twitter and

thanks to digital technology a lot of things can be crowd sourced

that couldn't be crowdsourced before. Before somebody would, let's say there

was a forgery of some sort and it was apparently accepted.

Somebody would have to allege that I think this is a forgery.

It'd be submitted to the appropriate investigative agency

and they would check into it.

Well, back a number of years ago when CBS News and Dan Rather,

this was sort of the harbinger of things to come,
