And they saw Mary Poppins in the theater in 1964. It's one of their favorites. And they say thank you again for this Mary Poppins podcast. I loved it.

Spitzpot. Spitzpot. Well, thank you very much. And I have one more minor correction I would like to make before we jump back into the film, which is, you know, we talked a lot about certain opinions that Walt Disney had.

Yes, that might have been anti-Semitic or homophobic. And we got a bit of pushback online, which I appreciate that apparently there are a lot of people, including the Sherman brothers who obviously were Jewish.

Yeah, that have said that wasn't true that he was not anti-Semitic at all. And I hope I hope that we were wrong and that he because I really admire Walt Disney and I don't like to think negative things about people I admire.

I don't mind it, but I understand the creative world. I mean, you really it's tough. It's tough. But I have, I've always been told that he did. And I've seen some illusions to it and other things. So, you know, just because he worked.

Again, this is a very clear thing about that is coming that is making the conversation more nuanced, just because they're married to someone of color or a Jewish person.

Just because they have family members who are Jewish, just because, you know, their friends or work with mood doesn't necessarily mean that they weren't anti-Semitic.

So, I respect the pushback, though, and I think everyone's entitled to their opinion. From what I've seen in red, I'm of the belief of one way and from what these people were pushing back on.

They're of a belief of another way. And, you know, and that's totally fine. I mean, I hear a defend himself one way or another.

Apparently, his brain is frozen somewhere and maybe pull that out and see if it has anything to say.

And Williams, yes. I mean, like all things that we'd like to do on the cinephiles is to have a nuanced conversation. And what I'll say is like, these things are not binary. And depending on when you were raised and where you were is that, you know, saying that he had some anti-Semitic beliefs, being a guy growing up when and where he did is not a surprising thing.
