us a nuanced look of what's happening on the ground rather than people screaming their politics on

Twitter which seems to be going on quite a lot at the minute when it comes to the

coverage now many many people have been out on the street saying they want Maduro

to go there have been clashes,

paramilitaries have killed people and there is also a lot of talk

that the US is meddling trying to orchestrate a coup because there's now this

opposition leader saying he is the rightful president

and there are dozens of countries backing him. The whole situation is very fragile

there have been troops sent to the border. Maduro has said he's going to protect the

whole country every single corner militarily,

so it's not looking good right now for Venezuela.

So yeah, Jean-Cala's going to be explaining all of this for us.

He's been covering the area meticulously for a very long time now.

He's doing a PhD in criminology at the University of Toronto and is currently an investigator
