So I want to explain what emotional sobriety is. It's a destination, right? You can get to this

destination by doing the work of emotional sobriety. And the place we want to get to where we want to live in, and I'm using that as a kind

of metaphor, because the work of emotional sobriety is ongoing, right?

You don't like do it and then you complete it one day and then you're done, right?

It's just ongoing personal development is what it really is.

So we want to get to this destination where we feel comfortable in our own skin. We like ourselves and we can regulate our

emotions in a healthy way. That's the place we want to get to. And that's where we want to

set up home and live. Now, I want to say something about that because that is pretty much where I live.

But I have left that place during the time I've been sober.

So twice, but times after I had kids, because I was exhausted and overwhelmed,

I stopped doing all of the things that had kept me
