So the other idea about consent is that it's supposed to be informed and something that people don't give kids the opportunity to practice very often is to ask an adult for more information before giving an answer.

So there's this power dynamic that just happens naturally between adults and kids where the adult has the power the kid automatically doesn't.

So if you as an adult can sort of pause that power dynamic for a moment and when you're

asking a kid, do you want to go the store with me

allowing there to be the second step where you say are there any questions you want to

ask before you answer because then you're teaching them how to give informed consent.
