Yesterday in the morning mindset edition I brought up

Proverbs chapter 20 verse number 22 where it says do not say I will repay evil

wait for the Lord and he say I will repay evil.

Wait for the Lord and he will deliver you.

And yesterday I was emphasizing that our gut reaction,

our tendency to try and take action on behalf of ourselves when someone does wrong to us

needs to be mediated, needs to be moderated by a sense of trust in the Lord.

That he has the wisdom to act on our behalf rather than us.

He is the one who knows the right timing and the right way,

in which to respond to the evil that's done to us.

And that is true, generally speaking.

But at the end of yesterday's episode, I brought up the reality that in this fallen world, there are situations where in a microsecond of time, evil is being done, terrible evil, heinous evil. Things like abuse, things like

terrorist attacks, things like a person with a gun in a crowded room just

just opening fire. We terrible things that happen in this world, evil things.

And the question is, does this proverb apply in a situation like that?

Where we should just kind of hold up our hands and say,

I'm going to wait for the Lord, he will deliver me.
