So I grew up in West Michigan,

and outside of a small city called Grand Rapids,

which historically was known for its furniture industry, Herman Miller,

Hayworth, Fieldcase, and in more recent times is known as Beer Town USA, because there's a ton of great micro breweries. And Grand Rapids has a more, I would say, traditional family environment. I grew up in a small suburb and church was really at the cornerstone.

Religion was really at the cornerstone of our family.

My parents were and continue to be more progressive
