I wanted to dive right in today to something that literally just broke a few minutes ago because it's a story we've talked about before and it involves kind of, um, I would say a

mishmash or a mashup of both of our former careers and our current careers. Right. Because that for a teaser.

It is a teaser and you're such a tease.

It's crazy. It's crazy. And it's it's a it's a very it's a sad case.

It's also a very important case because it talks about risks and safety on movie sets.

I think everybody probably knows what we're talking about now.

We're talking about the shooting incident that happened on rust and subsequently, Alex Baldwin.

Was arrested charged with what crimes involuntary manslaughter right and then some other gun gun related charges but Jim.

And then the death slaughter is basically that he didn't intend to kill someone, but he was reckless enough with his behavior that he actually committed a crime.

That's right. That's right. Jim. That's basically it. I mean, it's kind of, um, you know, it's similar really to DUI homicides in the sense that you certainly didn't intend anyone to die.

You got drunk. You did something really stupid and reckless getting behind the wheel of a car and someone died and in our country in our justice system.

You have to be held accountable when there's someone's death is the result of a criminal act. So there are things that are, you know, sort of pure accidents like,

if you went to a checked into a hotel and you leaned on the balcony and the balcony railing was loose and you fell to your death or got injured or your spouse fell to their death or got injured, then someone might be liable for that.

But that's probably not a criminal act. It's not an act of criminal negligence probably.

Right. Right. Unless the hotel had been warned several times that this banister did not meet the code and they refused to do anything. Then it could rise to criminal negligence.

And it could be, and it could be a homicide case. But in this case, Alex Baldwin, he didn't necessarily do anything other than use a gun that
