Today I'm back in conversation with returning guest Benjamin vote.

I consider Benjamin to be one of the most influential voices and ambassadors and promoting

efforts to practice ecological garden design and horticulture.

His willhouse is in natural landscape design with an emphasis on using native plants, specifically

prairie plants for all that they have to offer their beauty, resilience for seasons of interest

in many cases and of course the ecological services they provide and building and maintaining

healthy biodiversity landscapes and gardens.

If you don't know this about Benjamin, this is a guy who not only courageously walks

his talk, he shouts it from the rooftop.

As he lives and breathes this new garden ethic, his personal home landscape is a living

not easy to do considering from where he calls headquarters because his home sits within

the epitome of a typical suburban treeless, long-laden HOA subdivision.

Fortunately his efforts and persistence has gleaned a lot of traction over the past few

years along with more and more attention, respect and recognition of his work and it's coming

from other highly respected ecological voices from around the country and beyond.

And so it should come as no surprise that fortunately more people are wanting to know how

to implement this new garden ethic now that they know why it's so important.
