Summary

Today’s musing explores one of Jeff's lifelong passions: tennis. You may or may not share his enthusiasm for hitting fuzzy yellow balls. But, hopefully, you have a passion, an activity in which you immerse yourself, find flow, and time melts away. You become as writing or as painting. The following essay explores this phenomenon. Commusings is our format where we take a moment to think deeply on the topics of spirituality, philosophy, and culture. For more musings and quotes, connect with us on Instagram at @onecommune or @jeffkrasno or sign up for the Commusings newsletter at onecommune.com. This podcast is supported by BetterHelp. Thank you. I did everything right.

I was patient and constructed the point meticulously. I kept the ball deep with heavy top spin and cross court, patiently

waiting for the moment to pounce. Finally, court, an absurd name for a tennis player, hit me a short ball.

1:54.0

He's there in plenty of time and whips a redirected backhand down the line for a winner.
