| 0:00.0 | What's going on, Abysius? Welcome to the Daily Soul podcast, episode 3,271. It's Sunday, April the 20th. |
| 0:07.2 | And today we are talking about frequency of training. And I want to break down something that's like a simple concept to me. |
| 0:14.5 | And it's something we've been talking about for a while. It's very basic math, but I want you to think about it. |
| 0:19.6 | If you are trying to bring up a body part, you want to train it first in the workout. |
| 0:25.0 | You want to train it when they're most recovered. |
| 0:26.6 | And ideally, you want to train it more frequently than other body parts. |
| 0:31.8 | So this can make a marginal difference or it can make a large difference. |
| 0:35.3 | And it really depends on the body part. |
| 0:36.7 | It really depends on how you recover, how much volume you're doing and the intensity that you're choosing |
| 0:41.1 | for those body parts. But think about this way. You're trying to bring up a body part and you're |
| 0:45.5 | training it twice per week. That's an upper lower split or something along those lines. If you are |
| 0:52.1 | doing a full body split and or you are prioritizing a certain |
| 0:56.6 | body part by training it three times a week, you are training it 50% more over the course of a |
| 1:01.5 | month. If you train a body part twice a week, that's eight times. You train a body part three |
| 1:06.6 | times a week. That's 12 times in a month. So you extrapolate that over a year and you do |
| 1:13.5 | 8 by 12 or you do 12 by 12. So 8 by 12 is 96 and 12 by 12 is 144. So if you do that math, |
| 1:23.3 | you train a body part if my math is correctly. I'm just doing this out of top my head is what |
| 1:28.3 | 48 times 40 times more a year. 48 times a year. Let's just average and round that up. Let's just say 50. |
| 1:36.2 | 50 times more a year if you train a body part three times a week. Now if you do every other day literally |
| 1:42.4 | and you never take any other days off, |
| 1:44.5 | every other day literally training a body part, you're training about three and a half times a week |
| 1:49.3 | versus three. So if you think about the frequency and creating a growth stimulus more often, |
