You also have to take into account the fact that some people just don't test well.

And that's true in academics. Their resume might look like crap, but they interview well.

Or they interview great and their resume looks terrible or vice versa.

So when you look at an FTP or you base everything on a test, if you're not looking at what else they can do before that and what they do right after, like I had a few athletes that did a test, and then a week or two later,

they're doing these a workout I built in, and they're averaging over their FTP for an hour and 15 minutes.
