I want to be Jesus' friend.

Would you like to do that?

You know me to.

When you see him, I think that if you had to describe what would the objective be if he

looked at you and recognized you as his friend? Not by declaration, not by

divine Fiat, but by evidence of your life, your calendar, your resources, your attention, what you have striven to do and become,

your willingness to yield to him, to put aside your selfish agenda in order to let his agenda flourish within you.

Again, I think we make our faith harder than we need it to be.
