Recently, I discovered a book that's been around for a while and I cannot believe it's

taken me this long to actually pick it up.

It's called The Big Leap by Gay Hendrix.

And essentially, the entire book is about why we self-savotage, why in the pursuit of

big goals and big dreams and success in our lives, whether that's personal success,

financial success, business success, what have you?

Why do we get to that moment where we destroy it all?

Why do we get to that ceiling and bash up against it and then head back down in the other

Why do people have that big breakthrough moment and then never do anything again?

From literally the first few sentences of this book I was hooked, I read it all in one

sitting, it's a super simple read and a concept that is so obvious but will totally blow

your mind about the four different types of fear that we experience that keep us from

smashing through that ceiling and resetting our internal temperature about what we believe

is possible for our life.

Gay calls it your upper limit problem, meaning you get to your upper limits and then have

some kind of emotional trigger that keeps you small, that makes you move backwards, that

makes you choose things that are going to hurt you instead of help you.
