And with any of these habits that we're doing, if you miss one day, you guys, don't be hard on yourself. Like, give yourself some grace, especially at the beginning when you're trying something new. It is so hard to get into a habit right away and have it be perfect. But it's the consistency of you did it one day. You're doing it the next day. Okay, now it's been a week. Now it's been two weeks. That's what's going to build the habit. And that's what you should really focus in on.

I'm Amy. And I'm Abby. And as women, we are constantly comparing ourselves to others. But your life isn't supposed to look like hers. Being your best self means standing firm in your decisions

0:38.7

and always being willing to grow with a purpose. We get vulnerable and real with an honest look

0:44.8

into the challenges and triumphs we all face. Every woman listening gets the opportunity to choose

0:50.6

what life looks like for herself.

1:02.2

Hi, you guys. We are excited for this episode because we know that it is the time of year where you do two things usually. Sometimes I do think people skip the first one. You should

1:08.4

look back at the year you just had and you look forward with

1:13.7

excitement to the year that's coming. So in this episode, we are going to try to motivate you

1:20.1

to have a great year. We're excited for this year. But first, we are going to start by doing

1:26.9

an exercise that we want you all to do at home.

1:30.5

Because a big chunk of our listener audience, probably 100%, is female millennials.

1:37.7

And one thing I know about female millennials is that they work extremely hard, whatever that looks like for you, and they're

1:46.7

hard on themselves. Like a lot of us are hard on ourselves. And we don't take a pause to think about

1:53.1

the things that we are doing really well. So I want all of you to honestly take a moment, whether it's in the shower, whether you sit down

2:03.7

with a journal and think about three things that you have done really well this past year.

2:10.0

And that feels so good to value yourself, value your time, value your effort, and just give yourself credit.

2:21.3

So Abby and I are going to start by telling you the things that we feel like we're doing well

2:26.5

in case it helps to kind of start to jog your mind to think of yours or help you.

2:33.1

Maybe I'll take one of these for what you want to do

2:34.9

next year. Okay, do you want to start with your first one? Yeah. So my first one is a morning routine.

2:41.8

So I really do love my morning routine to the fact that if I don't have my morning routine,

2:46.5

I'm done for the day. I can't stand her morning routine because if she misses it, it's like she feels like she cannot function. One could say you could work on. I could work on being more flexible. If you have to miss it, we can't melt. And it's not even missing it. It's any part of it changing. Like that's to the point. Like I am, habits are so important to me. And maybe I like is, are they so important to me. No. The answer is no. To you, it's more. And that's okay. To a lot of listeners, it's probably more. And it's one of those things where when you're in the habit and it's a good habit, you feel like you can run the world. And many of my days start off because I know exactly what's going to happen. and my kids are sleeping through the night at this point. There's not a whole lot of random things that happen. I will say with the snow that's happening right now, it's a little bit of a change in the morning. Because there's 20 minutes, 10 to 20 minutes of snow that has to be picked up before I can go for my morning dog walk. So every morning I wake up.
