Well, hi there. This is Julie Slattery, and you're listening to Job with Julie. This podcast is an

outreach of authentic intimacy, a ministry dedicated to reclaiming God's design for sexuality.

Today, my guest may be familiar to you.

Her name is Jamie Ivy, and I know many of you listen to her podcast called The Happy Hour.

Jamie is a podcaster from Austin, Texas.

She and her husband have four kids.

And a few years ago, she wrote a book

about something that we talk about a lot here on job with Julie. It's the idea that there

are things that we feel are acceptable and okay to admit that we struggle with. And then there

are those other things that you feel you just can never say out loud, especially around

other Christians. For example, if people really knew how bad my marriage is, that I'm struggling to love my

husband, or then I'm struggling with sexual sin, you fill in the blank.

These things usually fell us with shame.

Jamie's book is called If You Only Knew, and she's going to share how, for many years,

she feared what others would think of her if they knew parts of her story that revealed her brokenness.
