I just got back from my vacation in the Appalachian Mountains, and it's been a little tough for me to

get back in the swing of things as I've gotten a little bit of a cold.

Now without further hesitation let's get into these creepy and allegedly true

cryptid horror stories that will keep you out of those woods tonight. So this story is of my experience with a skim walker. A little background before I begin. This happened when I was 8 years old and my father told me this story when I got older.

My father has had this odd connection to the paranormal since he was just a child and has many stories,

but those can be for another time.

He explained that this experience happened during the fall.

We had just had one of the hottest summers, so the warm weather lingered a little longer than normal.

I had just woken up and needed to use the bathroom.

Now for some context we live on the Navajo Reservation,

so that pretty much means that we have no running water, which in terms means no indoor plumbing.
