Summary

Jade rollers, Gua sha's, and lymphatic massage, the keys to de-puffing your face. On today’s episode, Dr. Kay is joined by Kathleen Lisson (@kathleenlisson), a board-certified therapeutic masseuse, Certified Lymphedema Therapist, and author of Plastic Surgery Recovery Handbook, to discuss the benefits of lymphatic massage and the key to a successful plastic surgery recovery. Lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle massage that encourages the movement of lymph fluids throughout and around the body. The fluid within the lymphatic system then works to remove waste and toxins from bodily tissues and helps the system perform more effectively! Dr. Kay(@beautybydrkay) gets Kathleen to share all her top tricks and techniques to apply lymphatic massages after a plastic surgery procedure and in your everyday life as well. Did you know that there are certain foods and drinks that make your face puffier? Dr. Kay and Kathleen list a couple of the most common ones and what you should do in the morning after eating them. Listen in on today’s podcast and get all the tips, tricks, and tools you need to have a healthy surgery recovery and how to start incorporating lymphatic massages into your self care routine!
