Have you ever listened to the recording of that 911 call from the woman living in a rural

town in the middle of nowhere?

The one where the 911 operator assures her that the police will not be there in time

to protect her from the madman breaking into her home.

She is urged to use the gun she has in the house, and she does.

Google it.

The recording is suspenseful and horrible and satisfying all at the same time.

When I hear of rural home invasion stories like that one, my mind runs through a list

of reasons why I am safe from that particular situation.

I'm in a populated area.

People would hear me scream.
