We're doing something a little different and we for the month of April are going

through a Bible study in the book of James and the reason we decided to do this is

because a lot of times in the month of April it's Easter so we want to get into

the word we have that on our minds more often we know the significance of the Easter holiday and we just want to study the Bible a little bit more and a lot of times if we're honest we don't really know how to study the Bible.

So I'm just sort of walking through the book of James.

It's a quick short book in the Bible, five chapters long,

and I'm just sort of going through it.

We're gonna at least get through the first four chapters. Try to get

to that fifth chapter if we can, but I'm just going to sort of show you what I do and

how I study the Bible. I am not a Bible scholar. We talked about that last week. I did not go to

seminary. I wish that would be nice. Maybe I could do that in my future. But I'm just

going to sort of show you how a layperson, me, like me, studies the Bible, how I get into the word and the

nuggets that I gain from it.

So I told you last week I'm reading from the New Living Translation Bible, and I chose that I have different Bible

versions that I read out of but I chose that because it's an easy translation to

understand and I just thought since we're all starting on the same page

and sort of ground zero let's start with an easier translation. I also pulled the new application Bible, no amplified, sorry, the new amplified Bible and I've got some

study notes in that Bible that I pulled from.
