The purpose of people having authority over your life from a biblical perspective

is that you might lead a godly life and a holy life.

So if you're having trouble figuring out who to pray for and how to pray,

God give us leaders that will let promote godliness and holiness. The more we separate the influence of a biblical worldview

from the state the more authoritative more authoritarian the state will become.

I promise it's just a fact of history.

I want to start with a little more lengthy portions of scripture than I typically would, but I would like to establish as we read it together

and as you listen to it, the authority of God.

I believe God created the heavens and the earth and everything that's in them.

And I believe he watches over what takes place in the earth.

Jesus said that if a sparrow falls to the ground, the father knows it.

He says that when we, God knows if we're in the city or in the field when we sit or when we stand.

He's not removed from your life.

Most of us pray that God's not paying very close attention.
