Summary

When you hear the word repentance, what comes to mind? For many, it carries feelings of guilt, shame, or fear. But what if repentance was never meant to be about punishment—but rather about hope, growth, and a fresh start? In this episode, Corrine and Neil unpack the true meaning of repentance and why it’s actually one of the most loving, freeing, and powerful gifts we’ve been given. They discuss why repentance is a process—not a one-time event, how it’s more about turning toward God than dwelling on mistakes, and why embracing it with the right perspective leads to real change, peace, and joy. They also share personal stories, including a cherished memory involving Dr. Terry and how a simple but powerful call to "Repent!" completely shifted Corrine’s perspective. Neil shares an insightful definition from the Bible Dictionary, explaining repentance as a fresh view and a turning of the heart. Together, they discuss why repentance requires patience and humility, and explore the role of church leaders in guiding us through change. This conversation is all about reframing repentance—not as something to fear, but as a hopeful, ongoing journey toward becoming the best version of ourselves.
