Hey, what's up? Welcome back to the show. My hours have been maxed out these last two weeks with

doing some infrastructure building, building out a YouTube page, updating our Spotify playlist for

every song ever played on every podcast that we have produced, launching a newsletter.

I've also been recording new podcasts. The first will be with

Dane Hans from Vulcan surfboards. That'll be published next week. But in the midst of all

this busyness, I haven't had the time to edit and publish new episodes. You might have noticed

that I missed last week. So until next week's episode with Dane, I'm going to publish one today from the archives.

big wave surfer, champion spear fisherman, and part-time Hollywood stuntman Mark Healy.

I'm going to be in Hawaii soon and I'm planning to reconnect with Healy to get updates on some of the things that we discussed here in this episode.

And so I figured this episode would actually be a good precursor to that and one that's worth reposted.

Surf Splendor. I hope that you are well, and I hope that you enjoy this conversation with Mark

Healy. I don't even know where it was. He was in some video interview that you did about

one of your most memorable ocean experiences being riding a great white shark holding the dorsal fin and maybe the first

time that you've done it. Maybe you've done it more than once now. But there's also YouTube

footage of you, stiff arming, a tiger shark. And you know that like even swimming with sharks sounds crazy to most people.

Tell me what we don't know about sharks.

What do you know about them?

That we don't and enlighten us.

Why aren't you afraid of sharks?

Well, I'd say I'm, I wouldn't, I, I'm, I'm not afraid of sharks under, you know, the right circumstances, the same way you're saying, I'm not afraid of humans.
