Well, it's like pushing a large ball up a hill, and I've got six clicks to go, just to get into the stage where people know who I am, right? And I expected that. We expected that. I was approached months ago by a group of Texans and people from around the country. Hey, would you consider it? I said, not no, but F no, no, I'm not doing this. No, no, I can't do it.

He's got a $100 million war chest. This is his craziest thing ever. And then over time, did a feasibility study. Over time, I said, well, how many things I've been told no that I can't do in the past? Maybe I'm just crazy enough to try this.

Before we get into your career and whatnot, what you're doing now, where did you grow up?

I grew up on a smaller farm in North Georgia for part of it.

My dad was a traveling physician.

Ended up in Oklahoma on the Red River on the other side. If you're down here, it's the wrong side of the Red River. Yes. But yeah, I

left home in 83, went to the infantry. They were jumping into Grenada when I got there, so I was

hoping that we would get into it. We didn't. Finish my time, broke my leg, couldn't go jump anymore. So I thought I'd get out. So I did. I went to college, medical school, all that. I was going to be a cop. And my dad being a doctor, he's like, well, just consider it. So I was a criminal justice major who applied to a medical school, and they laughed at me, but I had the prerex.

And then the guy that was a senior guy on the staff said, I was at the chosen reservoir.

They don't want you. I want you. He's a Marine. He's passed since. But that's how I got

into med school. So it's always some kind of criminal way to get into these things that are
