the date of the book's actual publication. I've done a lot of coverage of the war in Ukraine and

debates about the future of US foreign policy. Lyle then is an interesting guest because like many

people who listen to the Realignment and elect myself, he's seen himself go all over the ideological

spectrum over the past 20 years. He's gone from being a Dennis Prager and Jonah Goldberg

interning college for public in to actually getting his PhD in becoming a leftist critic of American

hegemony abroad. So I thought it'd be a great time as the left debates its future given the context

of the fact that we've moved on from the war on terror and moved on to the air of great power
