So thanks. I'm having a really interesting conversation in this episode today

with someone I've had on the show before his name is

Koote Blackson. Koot is a beloved inspirational speaker and

transformational teacher. He's the author of the national best-selling book, You Are the One, and in fact that's what we were talking about the last time he was on the show in 2016.

And this time we were talking about his new book, which is The Magic magic of surrender. He's widely considered the

next generation leader in the field of personal development and has been featured on

a zillion shows where you have seen him I imagine as well as Inc magazine calls

him the mindfulness gurus billionaires go to for advice. I mean really though

his his take he's got this unique take it's sort of a fresh bold look

at spiritual awareness for a whole new generation born in West Africa, Koot's multicultural upbringing as a child of a Japanese mother,

and a Gyan father has spanned four different continents.

His unique lineage lay the foundation for his

approach to breaking down barriers and unlocking an individual's true gifts and

greatness. And he is a fantastic storyteller and he is a great conversation list and he's so smart and this particular topic being on surrender is so interesting.

It's a topic that I'm very interested in

and that certainly in my younger life,

surrender kind of went into the category of acceptance, quote unquote.

It always seemed to me to be throwing in the towel a bit

when I was younger.
