We don't have a reason. We tend to slow down and do as close to nothing as we can get away with. This is how humans are. This is our normal human nature.

Work on your fucking games. Everybody relates to what Gray is saying is a different way. Work on your game. I like the way he thinks. Work on your fucking game. I like the frameworks that he's put together. Work on your game. And I would highly recommend it to anybody that's trying to work on their game. Work on your fucking game. I think it's a good approach. It's a different approach, too. Hey, you, work on your game. Gave me something really good. What can you gain? Dryolday.com. And his philosophy makes a lot sense. Not only work on your game, perfect your crap. Work on your game. He knows how to communicate in such a fabulous way. I can't say it enough. Work on your game. You're now tuned into the show where you learned the discipline to show up day after day to do the work, the confidence to put yourself out there, boldly and authentically in the mental toughness to continue showing up, doing the work, putting yourself out there. Even when the success you've expected to achieve has yet to be achieved. And on top of all this, you get a huge dose of personal initiative. That is to go get an energy that moves any one of us, including yourself, to go and make things happen instead of waiting for things to happen. Then we put all this together into a series of frameworks, approaches, insights, strategies, and techniques underneath the umbrella, one unifying philosophy that is called Work on Your Game. My name is Drey Baldwin also known is Drey all day and welcome to the show. And today's topic is two minute warning, energy, the energy of the two minute warning. If you don't know what that means, actually nobody knows what it means because I made it up. I didn't make up the concept of a two minute warning, but I made up this whole concept. I'll explain it. Of course, in this episode. But before I do that, I remind you with two things. First of all,

1:46.8

my daily motivation and Monday motivation messages, guaranteed to have you focus, sharpen on

1:49.9

points, start your day or your week, respectively. All you got to do is to get these is be in my

1:53.9

texting community. Guess what? It is free to join. Yes, free. F-R-E-E. All you got to do is text me at my number 305, 384, 6894. Once you text me, you'll be a member of the community.

2:01.9

Once we start sending those messages out again, we're not sending them right now as of this recording, but we might be by the time you get this. So just text me right now. It's free to join, it costs you nothing. And then as soon as we start sending them out again, our bot will get you noted they're coming. and then moving forward, you'll be getting messages directly from me, which you can even respond to and have a direct engagement with me because that is not outsourced. That is not AI that is responding to you. That is not my assistant. That is me. I actually do read those messages and I do respond to. I don't respond to every single message. But if you get a response, it is coming from me. All right. So you got my word on that. You get a response from my text community. It is coming from me once we start sending them again. So if you use text now and you don't get a response, that's because we're not sending them. But when we do, you'll be getting them. Second, work on your game university. If you like to master your mindset, your strategy, your systems and your accountability for implementation of high level performance, consistency of performance and producing more results in your life or your

business, personal or professional or both, go to work on your game, university.com. You can see all about what our program is about and take the next step and get into work with us. That out the way, let's get into the topic, which is two-minute warning energy. So first of all, let's get clear on what the two-minute warning is for those you are not familiar. The two-minute warning is the official label of the moment that is announced in an American football game when there are two minutes left in either half of the game. So a football game is four quarters. So the second quarter is the end of the first half. And when there are two minutes left in the second quarter, there is a official timeout called the two-minute warning. This is basically a timeout that is charged in either team. It's a timeout that happens naturally in the game, and there are only two minutes left before halftime. And then at the end of the game, the end of the fourth quarter, there's another two-minute timeout because there are only two minutes left in the entire game. And when there are two minutes left, at both points, this official timeout happens.

3:45.0

And what the teams do is they gather, strategize, and plan what they're going to do over this final two minutes.

3:51.3

And today what I want to talk about is the energy that you want to have, that you can borrow from what you will notice. And I'm going to draw a parallel here from what happens in American football games when they are at or approaching the two minute warning and how

3:58.4

you can start applying this energy to your own life and to your own business. Point number one,

4:02.8

topic once again is two minute warning energy. Number one, here's the question. And some of you

4:07.1

are not football fans may not know this. I'm going to make it real clear even if you've never

4:11.1

watched a minute of American football. What do football teams do around and after the two minute warning? If you watch football, then you know the answer to this. And if you don't, I'm going to tell you to answer. If the team is losing, let's say a team is losing the game, but there are two minutes left in the first half or two minutes left in the game. What does that team do? What that team does is that they tend to start playing with more

4:31.2

speed, more urgency, more resolve, and they do all this in the final two minutes of either the

4:36.9

half or the game with more of those energies than they had the entire previous, whatever, 28 minutes

4:44.1

of the half, or the 58 minutes of the full game if we're talking about the fourth quarter.

4:47.8

So let's just talk about the fourth quarter two minute morning. The team will start playing with more energy, more resolve, and more focused in the last two minutes of the game when they are losing than they did during the entire 58 minutes leading up to that point, which might be the reason why they were losing in the first place. But all of a sudden they get all this energy, now they move a whole lot faster. Now they achieve a lot more often in the last two minutes than they did the

4:47.4

previous whole game. How is this possible? The point here is about what happens in these two minutes. The urgency is up, the speeds up, the efficiencies up, the team gets more done than they were able to get done all up to this point. And the question is why and how is this happening? Why is this? How can someone, okay? So I want you to draw the parallel here between what the football team does and what you do. How can a person get more done when they're on deadline with two minutes left than they did the entire month or year or the entire quarter leading up to that point when they had way more time, much more time to get as much done as they could, but they didn't get much done, but all of a sudden, they get so much done when there's only two days left before the deadline. How is this possible? The answer is human nature. Michael Jackson has a song, and he says, tell me that it's human nature. The first, first he says, why, all right, why, and the answer is, it's human nature. The answer why is it's human nature.

5:57.3

Human beings, since we step up our discipline, our effectiveness, and our urgency when deadlines are forced upon us,

6:03.9

which we have talked about in many episodes of this master class. So if you're operating with the energy of the two-minute warning, you have more
