Hey everyone hope you had a great Thanksgiving. We weren't planning on having another

podcast but we kind of need to. This is Eagle Eye presented by Nissan with Ruben Frank

I'm Dave Zengaro. Some pretty big news on a Friday afternoon room.

Yeah and it was kind of strange how it presented itself. We were, we had talked to I guess guess, Greg Ward, I think, earlier,

and we were told there's no more calls this morning.

And all of a sudden, we got a text saying Lane Johnson

was going to talk and was kind of out of the blue, it was kind of unusual timing and we got on a Zoom call with Lane and he I asked him how he was feeling how his health was and he he said well I'm actually having surgery I'm out for the year might be a first

first time a guy's ever told us on a Zoom call his season's over not a total

shock I mean he's been in and out of the lineup. He's battled that ankle really for a couple years now.

He's at other he's at a shoulder he's at a knee. It's just been a really tough year. He started eight games. He's finished, I guess, four of them.

And one of the other ones he left in the middle for a while. So it's been really hard for him.

He had the surgery in August Dave and hopefully you know he can get back to where he was.

Yeah and that's kind of the shame of it is this is an injury that really dates back to that Jacksonville game a couple years ago and then it got

re aggravated last year and then he was planning on going into the season

without any surgery until that scrimmage at the link,

really, I mean, late summer,

like almost budding up to the start of the season.

And that's when he had the tightrope surgery
