Hi guys, welcome to Adelting. This is the podcast, what I tried to figure out, all the things

0:15.2

that we're supposed to know as grown-ups but apparently don't know. And one of the

0:19.4

biggest parts of growing up is realizing your privilege. I came across an amazing account

0:23.8

on Instagram called No White Saviors and it really opened up my eyes to deeper, further

0:28.4

understanding of the nuances towards white privilege, racism and white

0:33.0

saviors and much of something we're going to be talking about today. So I am joined by Bruce.

1:39.6

clients that came through our program. I thought, okay, I'm evolved. I'm conscious.

1:46.6

I woke, so to say. But in coming back to the US and in doing my masters and in following accounts,

1:55.6

like Layla and Rachel Cargo, and just really digging much deeper into my privilege and

2:03.6

into racism and white supremacy, realize like there's so much that like I didn't address

2:09.6

that I, you know, that even in the moments when I was living there that I thought I knew

2:16.6

and I was I still had so wrong. And so I think, yeah, I think that's that was the motivation.
